I rediscovered my passion for art when I moved to Europe and especially in the art capital, Paris, where I lived in the early 80's. My enthusiasm for cubism began when I became absorbed with the work of Braque, Picasso, Gris, Leger and other cubist masters. Having travelled extensively, the influences of African art and classical masterpieces in Greece and Egypt worked to enhance my cubist sensibility. I am also fascinated by what I see as the close association between cubism and jazz, with both being my great passions. They share a conceptual shape but with great latitude for expression. I appreciate the way jazz musicians achieve so much rhythm, harmony and energy in this world of spontaneous improvisation. Invariably when painting, I am listening to jazz as it motivates me to find this rhythm and harmony in my art. An important aspect of my approach to cubism is based on embodying noble forms with a kind of primitive energy and searching to achieve a balance between order and chaos. I invite you to experience my cubism..."

"I was born in New Orleans, a great place for rebellious free spirited souls searching for a greater meaning of life and with a passion for jazz and art. I owe much of my character and inspiration to the wild waters of the Mississippi, the hurricanes, the unique architectural styles and the soul of the French Quarter.
